Minimum Hardware Requirements/Required Ports

Netcleanse reserves the right to limit support to those customers whose hardware meets or exceeds the minimum requirements as listed below.

• Minimum Intel P4 3.x GHz or AMD equivalent Processor
• Minimum 1 Gigabyte RAM
• Minimum 120 Gigabyte Hard Drive (Required for message archive storage)
• Keyboard, Monitor, and CDROM Drive required for server installation
• CDRW required to create installation CD from ISO image Ports:

Netcleanse 3 supports most SATA and RAID drives as well as most on-board and plug-in NIC's.  Given the large number we cannot support 100% of all NIC's available.  We continue to experience issues with older Broadcom NIC"S as well.

We strongly discourage the use of an entry-level desktop computer.  We recommend an upgraded desktop or a 1U entry level rack server.

Required Ports:

Inbound:

• port 25 for mail.
• 22 for SSH Remote Access
• 33333 for HTTPS Remote Access
• 28233 for Back-ups and updates
• Port 32005 is used for clustering. 
• The Virus scanners use ports 3310 and 9999 (this is for local host applications, so they don't need to be open on the firewall) 
• RPC uses 33323, (doesn't need to be open on the firewall).
• NTP uses 123.

Outbound:

• All ports > 49152
• Port 53 UDP DNS
• Port 25 TCP SMTP
